Where it all started

One of the hardest things about trying to make it as an artist is choosing your “thing”. For me, I have always loved jumping from medium to medium, trying different styles, different techniques, etc. But in early 2025, I painted my first skateboard. And I fell in love with it. I love the shape and size of a skateboard as a canvas. It makes me think about what could fit in such a unique shape, and I ended up accidentally creating my own style out of it.

My first board

The first board I ever painted was of this good ol’ boy. I have always loved dalmations, and I especially love the idea of them as firefighting dogs. There was no deeper inspiration other than I wanted to paint a dalmation; I liked the idea of spots (circus). Little did I know that the animal aspect of this would continue into my future boards… Available in my storefront.

Fantastic Mr. Fox Series

These two boards were inspired by one of my favorite films of all time - Fantastic Mr. Fox, directed by Wes Anderson. I was planning on making this a series, but so far, these two lovable guys are the only ones. Fantastic Mr. Fox himself, and his lovable son Ash. Both are still available for purchase in my storefront.

Ollie the Otter (SOLD)

One of my favorite boards! Ollie the Otter. I painted this in the summer of 2025, next to the Mad River. I’ve never seen an Otter in the Mad River, but they are one of my favorite river creatures. This board was recently sold to a fellow otter lover.

Princess and the Pea

Leaning into the circus theme, I painted one of my favorite childhood stories - The Princess and the Pea, with tons of circus-themed sheets and blankets. She was the original circus girl. Available in my storefront.

Groovy Frog (sold)

The most “circus” frog you’ve ever seen, playing the keys and catching his dinner. I actually gifted this board to my boyfriend earlier this year for his Birthday. I’m happy to keep him around!

The “Big Night”

Inspired by the “Big Night,” the first warm, rainy night of spring when all the spotted salamanders come out of the woods and move towards the vernal pools to lay their eggs.
